Its Girl's issue

I had this strange dream today which I thought I must share it on social media.
Disclaimer: The story shared here is just a dream. If any characters or scenes resemble any person alive or dead or any event, it is just a coincidence.
Scene 1:
It was an event. It was supposed to be an awesome night where I could dance with my friends. But guess what happened? The moment I entered the venue I realised that girls were put in barricades/cages and boys were out and free to enjoy. Lol :D Everyone who knows me know that I'll hardly gel with girls. Now what was I supposed to do? Leave all my friends and dance with some strangers just bcoz they are girls?
When I opposed it, I was even told by someone I know that- You are a nice girl. But not all girls are like you. That's the reason we have made this arrangement.
Now what am I supposed to feel? Feel that I'm good and all others are bitches? Or bash that guy for even stereotyping all women?
I did nothing. You know why? Bcoz it was just a dream.
Scene 2:
After playing enough hide and seek from the security guys I finally decided to leave my friends alone and go to girls side. Inside the cage.
Luckily off late I can even befriend a stone and talk to it. I happened to find an amazing group and thoroughly enjoyed.. Danced like crazy.
Now that I'm awake from the dream, it feels like what a dream. It was dance of this life. Last time I remember dancing with girls was some 4 years back on a musical night. Even before that it was just my dance class.
While I dancing I just happened to see these volunteers (both girls and boys) were dancing together in a section which was separating the stage from the audience. I was busy dancing. Or else I would have surely taken couple of pics of them as a proof to my statement. Anyhow it was a dream. So even if I had clicked a picture, it wouldn't have mattered.
This what I felt in my dream: Why this double standards guys? You can dance with your friends. But we mango people aren't supposed to have fun? The men who are volunteering are gentlemen and all other men are assholes. Is that what it means?
I couldn't ask this anyway to them, as it was just a dream.
Scene 3:
I was in this girls section. The event was over. All girls were asked to stay back for 5 mins until guys leave. Since I was disconnected from my friends the friend who travels on the same route as mine had left the venue little early. I was disconnected. So they could never inform me.
Usually When I'm out at the late nights I always make sure I can be independent enough to travel alone. I needn't depend on any men. (Feminist in me makes me do this)
We were let out after continuous pleading to the organizers for 15 mins. The moment girls were out there was a human chain of security guys in the well lighten area of the venue. It almost felt like men will pounce on girls if there were no human chain. Lol :D To remind you, all this was a dream.
Then I was walking towards this parking lot of the venue where there no lights at all. Guess what? There was not even single security guards to protect girls. What an irony know? Where there is necessity there is no one available.
..The end...
When I woke up from the dream, series of thoughts rushed into my mind.
If they were really concerned about safety, they could have just let them be and had their security people throughout the venue to guard them. It would have saved women from the discomfort of being away from friends. Instead of having those human chains in inappropriate areas, they could have used the same man power in the appropriate areas. Or they could have let the girls out first, instead of making them wait for 15mins.
Lastly if anyone feels women are unsafe at 10 in the night, why not just shut the events by 8 if they can't keep women safe? It would have saved an embarrassment of being born as human with little weight near the chest. Whose idea was it anyway? I couldn't ask it to anyone as it was just a dream. So asking people who are reading this here. Am I wrong in thinking this way?
Its My World..

Why do we like Bad Boys?

Why do we like Bad Boys?

The bad boys. You know the type: tattoos and piercings, a certain air of superiority or anti-social tendencies, a motorcycle, or a general apathy toward you. They are broken and dangerous; and, somehow, we can't help but want them.
It turns out that pining for the bad boys, however unavailable they may be, has deeper roots than merely a dark sex appeal. Read further to get to the bottom of our obsession with the mysterious and the brooding.

Who is He?

Bad boys can come in many shapes and sizes, and they don't all have the same personalities or the same appeals. The general types:
The Elusive Bad Boy
This boy is a forbidden fruit. He barely knows you exist and doesn't make an appearance in your social scene. With an exciting life you know nothing about and a rough-around-the-edges look, this bad boy is intriguing, although unavailable to you. You want to break the rules to know him.
The Guarded Bad Boy
The guarded bad boy is more withdrawn than merely elusive. A mysterious guy, he's picky about who he associates with, and you probably aren't one of the lucky few. He might be moody or allergic to smiling, but the unknown is intoxicating.
The Non-Committal Bad Boy
An eternal bachelor, this guy doesn't want to settle down anytime soon -- if ever. He wants to play the field and live his own life, and you probably won't be a constant in it.
The Fixer-Upper Bad Boy
This bad boy is apathetic toward a number of issues. He is damaged goods, probably with issues haunting him from his past that are inhibiting his future. His main concern is having a good time, and he takes pride in doing whatever the heck he wants. He has a lot of work to do before he would be suitable for a long-term relationship.

Why Do We Do It?

We know these guys are bad news and have great potential to break our hearts, so why do we chase after them with the intent to win their affection? Aside from the excitement of something different and the thrill of the chase, our reasons for wanting them may stem from deeper desires or experiences.
Women have an inherent desire to nurture. Part of our role in humanity is to take care of others (to an extent), so we are often gratified when we feel we have done our job. If we can affect change in someone or earn some sort of dependence, this makes us feel needed. This is one reason women are attracted to bad boys, boys they think they can change, and if they do, will feel a sense of accomplishment and reward.
A common justification for going after the bad boys is "daddy issues." While the title is sad and somewhat insulting, the concept holds true. Dr. Thomas Miller, a health and behavioural psychologist, told that women who have experienced verbal, emotional or physical abuse from males during their childhood or adolescent years can form a distorted perception of relationships. It's a cycle, not that women will necessarily go after violent men (and I'm not saying most bad boys are violent, don't get me wrong), but it is not uncommon for them to subconsciously look for relationships that are either unattainable or unfulfilling because that is what they have been conditioned for.
Not every woman wants to tame a man and settle down. Some women go after bad boys because they themselves are afraid of deep emotions and commitment, according to Peter Jonason, a researcher at New Mexico State University. They know that these bad boys won't push for a relationship, so they, too, can avoid the idea.

Does it ever Work Out?

Sure, there are girls who have been successful in transforming their bad boys or at least softening them up; but Dr. Miller warns that not all bad boys can be saved. I wonder if even most of them can be, at least not without sacrificing your own emotional and psychological well-being. Trying to change someone is a difficult and trying task, and the negative effect it has on you can actually be more significant than the positive effect you are able to make on the man. I think that while a woman can be the push a man needs to get his act together, the change has to come from his own personal desire to alter the course of his life and his relationships.
The desire to tame the beast seems to be a pattern among the young. Anthropologist Dr. Helen Fisher told that younger women are more experimental and less experienced, giving them the audacity to chase the bad boys and possibly blinding them to the difficulty of such a male. They also may not have the capacity to identify a bad boy as actually being harmful or connect the dots that chasing him will probably end badly. As women get older, they tend to learn from mistakes and realize that bad boys aren't worth the trouble.
What do you think? Have you changed a bad boy? Do you think we all just need to grow up?

Computer back with a bang

Hi friends,

After a really long time I'm back.. Thanks to my job.. Finally I quit it.. Almost a month. Time flies truly. Took a break and studying like a good student now. This decision was really not so easier. As usual I was lost. Thanks to my new friend, who helped me through out this phase. Only he could understand what I was trying to say.

A week into college feels like alien. First 3 days couldn't even live up to my name given by my favorite lecturer during engineering. I was called the COMPUTER because my sir thought  could solve any problem faster than any calculator with high accuracy. lol :D  Miss those days.

From today Computer is back with a bang. Processing speed has increased and so is the accuracy. Me happy happy..

Will write soon

The Top Five Regrets of the Dying

I was going through an article by Paulo Coelho and I just had to bring it down here. Based on this article, a full length book titled The Top Five Regrets of the Dying - A Life Transformed by the Dearly Departing has been released.

So here goes.......

"For many years I worked in palliative care. My patients were those who had gone home to die. Some incredibly special times were shared. I was with them for the last three to twelve weeks of their lives.

People grow a lot when they are faced with their own mortality. I learnt never to underestimate someone's capacity for growth. Some changes were phenomenal. Each experienced a variety of emotions, as expected, denial, fear, anger, remorse, more denial and eventually acceptance. Every single patient found their peace before they departed though, every one of them.

When questioned about any regrets they had or anything they would do differently, common themes surfaced again and again. Here are the most common five:

1. I wish I'd had the courage to live a life true to myself, not the life others expected of me.

This was the most common regret of all. When people realise that their life is almost over and look back clearly on it, it is easy to see how many dreams have gone unfulfilled. Most people had not honoured even a half of their dreams and had to die knowing that it was due to choices they had made, or not made.

It is very important to try and honour at least some of your dreams along the way. From the moment that you lose your health, it is too late. Health brings a freedom very few realise, until they no longer have it.

2. I wish I didn't work so hard.

This came from every male patient that I nursed. They missed their children's youth and their partner's companionship. Women also spoke of this regret. But as most were from an older generation, many of the female patients had not been breadwinners. All of the men I nursed deeply regretted spending so much of their lives on the treadmill of a work existence.

By simplifying your lifestyle and making conscious choices along the way, it is possible to not need the income that you think you do. And by creating more space in your life, you become happier and more open to new opportunities, ones more suited to your new lifestyle.

3. I wish I'd had the courage to express my feelings.

Many people suppressed their feelings in order to keep peace with others. As a result, they settled for a mediocre existence and never became who they were truly capable of becoming. Many developed illnesses relating to the bitterness and resentment they carried as a result.

We cannot control the reactions of others. However, although people may initially react when you change the way you are by speaking honestly, in the end it raises the relationship to a whole new and healthier level. Either that or it releases the unhealthy relationship from your life. Either way, you win.

4. I wish I had stayed in touch with my friends.

Often they would not truly realise the full benefits of old friends until their dying weeks and it was not always possible to track them down. Many had become so caught up in their own lives that they had let golden friendships slip by over the years. There were many deep regrets about not giving friendships the time and effort that they deserved. Everyone misses their friends when they are dying.

It is common for anyone in a busy lifestyle to let friendships slip. But when you are faced with your approaching death, the physical details of life fall away. People do want to get their financial affairs in order if possible. But it is not money or status that holds the true importance for them. They want to get things in order more for the benefit of those they love. Usually though, they are too ill and weary to ever manage this task. It is all comes down to love and relationships in the end. That is all that remains in the final weeks, love and relationships.

5. I wish that I had let myself be happier.

This is a surprisingly common one. Many did not realise until the end that happiness is a choice. They had stayed stuck in old patterns and habits. The so-called 'comfort' of familiarity overflowed into their emotions, as well as their physical lives. Fear of change had them pretending to others, and to their selves, that they were content. When deep within, they longed to laugh properly and have silliness in their life again.

When you are on your deathbed, what others think of you is a long way from your mind. How wonderful to be able to let go and smile again, long before you are dying.

Life is a choice. It is YOUR life. Choose consciously, choose wisely, choose honestly. Choose happiness."

A strong lady who taught me to be strong

It was third semester of my engineering. The very first day. I met this lady. My lecturer. I always thought she hated me. Most of the times I was targetted in class. There was a day where I had even thought she hates women, because she used to target me, even when there are 70+ weird guys.

I have always had a love hate relationship with this lady. But there was something in her which used to inspire me to be like her. May be her "I don't care attitude", or may be her "I'm the best, I know it all attitude". I just loved that about her. She was one of the very strong women I have ever met.  I have learnt to be strong from her. Now whenever someone come up to me and appreciate my strong attitude, I know it, it came from her. Her wise advices were the best. She was lucky mascot for  most of the students. She had a very rare combination of beauty with brains. I aspired to be live like her. She was my inspiration.

I had told this to her many times. Even when I met her alive the last time. It was 11th Feb 2012. She left us all forever yesterday. I'll miss you ma'm. You are going to stay in my heart forever. May your soul Rest in peace.

What do women need? Equality?

Blogging after really long time but on a really serious issue. To clarify, I'm not a feminist nor women rights activist.

A lot of us interested in issues of gender and feminism know that in theory, there are various schools of thought on feminism. First wave, new age, radical, classic….you name it, we have it! However, for those looking from a distance, the word “feminism” automatically refers to “demand for equality”.

A few day ago, over a conversation with a friend, the issue of women leaving the workforce to have children came up. He was cribbing about women asking for equality on all quarters and then also demanding flexibility as being unfair. The gist of his argument being, on one hand women want to be equal to men, and on the other hand, still use the “woman” card as per convenience.

The use of words like “equality” and “unfair” in the same sentence immediately led me to think about feminism and among the varied schools of thought, the use of language, and what is it that women are asking for? What do we mean when we say we want equality?
I cannot help but think that a lot of feminist arguments are either misguided, claiming to desire equality for women in situations where we would actually prefer equity, or misunderstood as demanding equality when we are, in fact, demanding equity.
I’ll take an example of the average dinner table. Parents and children, getting exactly the same amount of food would denote equality. But is that what happens? In practical terms, they should and will get portions according to their needs, age and appetite. This is where equity comes in. Equality denotes that everyone is at the same level, gets exactly the same share while equity represents fairness or what is referred to as equality of outcomes. Equality is mostly about quantity, whereas equity is always about quality.
So logically, we aren’t asking to be treated exactly like men, right? And why would we want to be treated as men in the first place? We are not men. Ignoring that would be ignoring plain facts and well, biology. Demanding recognition as mothers or homemakers, for instance, comes with a fundamental expectation of not being treated exactly the same way as a man would. However, we demand equity in how the world treats us, asking to be given the same rights as men have as human beings. And let me hasten to add, asking to look at our needs as women should not automatically mean being treated as less serious or less important.
And so I ask you to think about it. Especially in the Indian context, the way our society is structured and functions, what really are we, as women demanding? We are taking on more and more responsibility with passing years, and asking for respect for doing multiple jobs and doing them well. We are asking for what is fair and what is justified. It is equity that is desirable, not sameness.

You may call it ego, I call it respect..

Is it important to maintain relationship even though you aren’t respected..? Here relationship can be a friendship, or love, or even parents and sibs. I have seen few of them who go to any extent to maintain a relationship and there are people like me who cut off with anything if I feel I’m not respected enough. My mum feels I’m being silly. She is divine soul on this earth, who treats people very well no matter what they do to her. Same case with my dad & sis. I'm the only eccentric person in my house who give a damn to anything or anyone. I know I love myself a lot more than anyone else on this earth. Past 10 days I have cut off with 3 of my very good friends ( I don't really need to call them that way even though it was friendship of years together). Out of which one was my best friend whom I have met only once in my whole life, but have shared my thoughts which no one else can know on this earth. Shit happens. It was bad clash of ego. Lol :D But I don’t regret about it. Other one just took me for granted which again I couldn’t bear to be treated that way. No matter what they are to me, I can’t let anyone disrespect me. And third one was stupid fellow without common sense, sweet cum irritating. As a Capricorn girl I’m iced and I don’t want to change it. When I have my fans for what I’m and the way I’m, when I have seen young girls and boys who aspire to be like me, why should I change myself? I may be wrong or right but I want to keep it this way..

MISSION AUGUST ENDED

It's quite tough to get rid of things, especially when you are used to it (just like corruption). I'm glad. You know what, I got rid of few things which I always wanted to do. It's just like emptying your closet, throwing away everything which is useless and not important. I threw away all those stuffs which were just rotting over there. It wasn't easy. In the process even few good ones with pungent smell has been thrown out and I know that ( I don't have time to wash it or cleanse it, you see). It is not my first time. I have done this every time at the beginning of the new chapter. It is just my part.

I wont carry my license, i dont want the traffic cop to book me. Its okay if I have to pay him, but I hate corruption in India.

Note : Found this interesting piece on one of my friend's facebook wall.. I have just copied it..

People are loading too much of trust on Mr. Hazare. All of them will soon have their trusts shattered when they'd realize they have been getting all emotional over nothing. A clear case of political opportunism, backed by the right wing. The gullible public is playing a part in it because they are taking Anna Hazare's word for it. One needs to think where they get funds to travel in chartered flights and arrange sound systems and displays. Definitely not from the Gandhian Anna Hazare's pocket, nor from the public who hate corruption but leave no chance to use it to further their interests.
Accept it, we, the people of India love corruption. We just hate other people who get bigger gains than us, through corruption. What’s happening in the country is nothing short of a blame game. It is as if everyone in this country is clean except the politicians and that too those of just the ruling party.
Yes, the present government is one of the most corrupt so far, but that doesnt mean you need to play into the hands of the opposition which is not far behind. Can the BJP say which of heir politicians or their allied politicians are honest? At least this government has the guts to put behind bars their own ministers. I can’t think of one incident where a BJP minister was sacked, leave alone jailed. Bangaru Lakshman who was the only guy cornered, after all the brouhaha by Tehelka is now a free man.
I see people getting all worked up and posting status messages about 'toppling corruption' and the 'fight against corruption' as if it is something that is external to them. Guys stop paying bribes and stop receiving favours and that will mitigate corruption. Passing a Lok pal bill is not going to do anything. The change has to come from within. Holding a candle and the national flag doesn’t make you honest or clean. You can do a lot more by actually not being corrupt.
Paying money or receiving money as bribe is not the only form of corruption. Voting a politician expecting him to benefit you and 'your people' is a worse form of corruption. You elect people on those lines, and you will get a corrupt neta. YOU are to blame for this. YOU do this and then blame 'the politicians' for the corruption in the country. YOU are the ones who put them there and gave them the power.
The Lok Pal bill was a step in the right direction, but now it seems to be just an instrument to embarrass the government. The self-appointed civil society needs to understand that they can’t make a perfect bill at a go. Moreover there is no guarantee that this government or the governments that might come later wouldn’t punch holes in it in the future.
Laws and punishments don’t stop people from committing crimes. They only help to an extent. You need to change the people to ensure that. Having an Election Commission which can act independent of the government and has done a good job so far, can only put people trying to buy votes. But if our elections are anything to go by, the ECI has only made a small dent in the vote-buying. The reason for this are not just the vote buyers, buy more so the vote sellers. Us. No matter how strict the laws are and no matter how powerful the vigilance bodies are, they cannot do much if citizens themselves are to blame. It is impractical to fight and country and put the country behind bars. Politicians are just soft and easy targets. A Raja or a Kalmadi gets noticed only because of the amount of money pilfered seems to be huge. To put it in perspective adding up all the money of major scandals and scams so far in independent India, it would amount to close to 5 lakh crores. India as a country has so far dealt in close to 9 crore crores! The problem hence lies not at the top level, but at the lower level. With us. It’s the common man who is the culprit. Moreover it’s the bribes that they pay for traffic challans, the passport checks and the land documents that cause heartburn to the common man and not the 2G scams and the CWG scams.
Corruption is not the disease, its just a symptom of a deep rooted disease – poverty. Money is such a major issues in the life of the Indian common man. Especially because we are so many and the opportunities so few. We hence resort to illegal methods to make our lives better and easier. We need to create enough opportunities and bring in enough development so that people don’t have to twist laws to make money. Take for example the salaries of our Ministers at the centre. At the end of their 5 year tenure they get what a software engineer would accumulate in the same time. Somewhere around 30 lakhs. By for him to win he HAS to spend a few crores. If he doesn’t pay for votes we don’t vote for him. Even if he is an honest person, to get what he has spent(just break even) on his election campaign, he has to pilfer money. And then they have access to lakhs of crores of rupees. It would be very difficult to not put his hand in the cookie jar.
And it’s a similar case with any other citizen in our country. The traffic constable whom we all hate and is regarded the personification of corruption gets paid Rs. 5600 per month if he works honestly. Then, you expect him to stand in the searing sun, stifling pollution and vehicular noise all through the day. He has to wear clean and ironed clothes too. And the competition for those posts is anyone’s guess. If he is a dishonest constable he can earn a few lakhs per year if he is ‘good’ at it. If you were one such policeman, what would you do? Aren't we asking too much from him and paying too little?
We expect government schools to run at almost no cost, but want top-class education in them. We want our railways to give us clean toilets, punctual drivers, tasty food and friendly Ticket Collector, all at such cheap prices. And no, we wont pay more. We want the traffic constable to overlook some ‘small-small mistakes’ when he comes for a routine check before issuing a passport and we want it quick. We ride without helmets, licenses and Registration papers, but shouldn’t be booked for such petty offences. Aren’t we being a bit too impractical?
Impracticality. Yes, that’s the word. That’s the word that would describe the laws we have and the laws that lead people to corruption. That’s the word that would describe the ‘fight against corruption’ and the proposed sweeping changes thereby.
I don’t think I will have to wait for long to see the Anna’s people to be disillusioned. The sooner, the better.
Then probably people will start thinking about efficient means of solving the problem of corruption instead of just condemning it and expecting it to vanish.

I'm a brash

I hate it when few people keep quiet or, when forced to talk, is diplomatic to the point of avoiding the issue altogether. Yup I’m in one such situation of my life.. Thank you.. That is all I can say. How can anyone think that this silent mystique strategy can help you out all the time? But I’m a brash. I can’t be sphinx. You can’t win over me on that.

When I don’t problem with my tweets or face book status updates or my blogs, why are others bothered?

Whenever people make a mistake, instead of realising their own they just bluntly point it out at others. One can escape from it for time being. But in long run one has to realise. Truth is bitter.

Silence is no longer equated with dignity, poise or high stature. Be a straight shooter, come to the point, be honest about what you can and cannot do and don't be afraid to have opinions.

To whomever it may Concern

To whomever it may concern

There is a subtle difference between being wrong and realizing we were wrong. The state of being in the first one without realizing is where most of us get stuck and get judged.
The day we develop the audacity to accept our idiosyncrasies, hypocrisies and sense of "watching our identities naked without any bias" is when we arrive as humans. The Ego is the killer here!
God bless you :)

Short Love story in train (Fiction)

This is unusual.. I was coming back from Mangalore in train.. That was one such amazing journey of my life.. Bcoz I had traveled all alone to Mangalore. Stayed alone.. Enjoyed alone.. I needed a break.. The tension of my placements in my mind had just vanished.. I was placed just a 3days before. I had answered all criticism (some from relatives & some from my so called good friends).. It's really painful when your friend's don't understand you.. I wasn't so keen about my campus placement since I always had plan 'B' ready with me. If I weren't placed I'd have directly leaped into my plan 'B' (will write abt it soon).. I'm someone who always account for knowledge than marks & job.. We need a job to satisfy our basic needs. I'm extremely smart girl (Proud!!!). I have great dreams than working under someone .. I don't suit such work.. I don't want to be a looser throughout my life.. But I needed a job to answer few loosers. So once I was placed I came for this rejuvenating trip to Mangalore which I badly needed to know myself.

Now coming back to my train journey.. I had booked this side lower seat.. I love the comfort level in that seat.. Once I boarded the train I just wanted to stretch down to sleep. I was damn tired. Mangalore heat had killed me.. There came a bunch of malayali boys and gurls. They were from kerala (obvi :)) Boys were with short hair completely oiled.. But these girls were with very long curly hair with castor oil which you can sense even from 1 k.m away... :P Yukk.. I had to travel with this gang.. One of the malayali kutti (girl) came n sat opposite to me.

The train started moving.. There were 3 more seats empty in my compartment. Those were 3+1(mine) were the only seats which was not occupied by Kerala people. Even though I can understand most of the south Indian languages I could never understand Malayalam. I tried to speak to this girl in English. God.. She didn't know it. I gotta know they were taking up teacher's training and on a trip to Hyderbad. It was educational tour for them I didn't know how they could survive in Hyderabad. In Bangalore even if you donno kannada if you know other languages you can easily survive. That's why I call Bangalore "Real melting Pot" of India.

The train just started to move. I saw a old man and a old lady coming towards that empty seat. These two were the most friendly people I have ever met in my life. The moment that uncle came into this bogie scenario changed. He started speaking to every girl and a boy in his broken Malayalam. Then I saw this most Handsome guy I have ever seen. He looked like a Tamil actor Suriya. Little smooth and straight hair, tall, long legged.. He was typical Tall Dark and handsome guy. He had sparkling eyes.. With bright cute sweet smile. I don't have words to explain him. he looked like a perfect man. The guy whom everygirl would fall in love with. He was the guy whom evrey mom would love to get her daughter married with. To my surprise this guy was son of this most friendly old people (young at heart).

That uncle started asking us questions on our academics. After knowing I'm mechanical engg he asked me the definition of tension, force and many more simple stuffs.. It was like my viva exam.. He asked few questions to those Kerala gurls to. Even though that uncle had good knowledge of science, he was typical perfectionist advocate in Bangalore. This uncle was amazing I thought. There was a singer between us. The gurl who was sitting right opposite to me had a good voice but badly trained (I have picked up this music knowledge from my sister). She sang.. I didn't want to listen.. So I plugged my ears to my ipod. In my playlist there was this "Te amo" song. I was in my own world dreaming about this guy who was sitting right in front of after Kerala kutti shifting to his seat so that the uncle and aunty could listen to her songs easily. Now I thought I should speak to him.
Me: Hi!!! ( Hoping, he would speak)
He: (With a smile..) Hi
Me: What do you do?
He: I work in Indian army. ...............

He was major in Indian army. I was trying to flirt with him.. lolz...

Me: That's cool. Even I have applied for Indian army. I cleared my 1st round in Bangalore. It was G.D. They are yet to call me for SSB.
He: They will surely call you. But you have to wait.. wait.. ( With his typical trade mark smile:))
Even I'm a mechanical engineer. That is how my dad knows definitions of tension, compression etc.
Me: Wow!!! He is super.

By this time the turn of singing had come that old aunty. He sang Asha Bhosle's song beautifully. She was great in that age. After her song uncle asked me sing. I was ready with a bigg bigg no. I can't sing. I'm not much into music. "If my sister was here, she would have sung", I said.
Uncle continued: Even my grand daughter sings beautifully. His daughter.. (pointing towards this guy).
I was shocked. This guy looks like 25. How could he be married?
Me: Uncle, aunty sings very beautifully. What's ur age aunty?(looking towards her)
Uncle: I'm 75. She is 66. My son is 35. My daughter in law wasn't feeling well. So she didn't accompany us to this Udupi( Beautiful place near Mangalore) trip. Tomorrow my son will be leaving to Delhi. He should report back.
Me: I thought your son is 25. You are nearly 60+. Aunty is 50+. None of you look that aged. May be this jovial and friendly nature of yours is the secret of your look.
Now this military guy moved to his upper seat with a book-How to pick the stocks like Warren Buffett by Timothy Vick. I'll read that book one day. It was already 10.30. Everyone moved to their respective seats to sleep. I was sleeping in my seat still staring at him.

The Next Dayy...

The train was near Ramanagara at 6.30. I had to get down at kengeri. Another 25 mins this train journey would be over. Uncle was awake.
Uncle: He asked me where do I stay.?
Me: I stay in Rajarajeshwarinagar. Will get down in Kengeri.
Uncle: I stay in Gavipuram.

I really wished this train journey would never end. I bid good bye to everyone. Even him. He said Bye with same smile. I didn't even consider taking their number. But I don't regret now. I'll meet him in life one day. World is too small..

P.S: This fiction work with little personal experience added. :)
